Pet Wellness & Preventative Care

At Mountain View Animal Hospital, our goal is to prevent disease. In order to do that, we need a Veterinary-Client-Patient-Relationship (VCPR). This law requires an exam by a veterinarian at least once a year. We strive to have a mutually respectful relationship with you, your beloved pet, and our wonderful staff. We all want the same outcome-a happy, healthy pet!

Mountain View Animal Hospital requires annual to semi-annual exams to maintain our relationship. Along with a complete physical, a fecal parasite check and screening blood work is recommended for both cats and dogs annually. We also recommmend heartworm testing for dogs annually. Certain medications or chronic conditions may require blood work or exams more often. Annual screening blood work helps us to know what is normal for your pet, then we can monitor trends year to year and catch subtle changes sooner.
