What are the recommended vaccines for a dog?
We administer vaccines based on your dog’s lifestyle. Rabies, DHPP, and Lepto are core vaccines that should be administered to all pets in our area. Bordetella and rattlesnake vaccines are recommended for dogs that will need protection due to exposure potential.
What vaccines are recommended for cats?
Rabies and FVRCP are core vaccines for all cats. FeLV is recommended for outdoor cats or cats who have exposure potential.
Why should I spay or neuter my dog or cat?

There are a number of benefits to spaying/neutering. Some of these include decreasing overpopulation, limiting aggression, avoiding pyometra, decreasing roaming, and cancer prevention.

What age should I spay or neuter my dog or cat?
The age we recommend spaying or neutering your dog is based on focusing on the overall health and development of your dog and varies by breed, size, and sex of your dog. We are happy to provide information specific to each dog during their exam, so that every dog owner is able to make an educated decision as to the appropriate time.
Should I give my dog or cat monthly heartworm preventative?

Yes, we recommend administering heartworm preventative year-round. This medication can also be used to treat some internal parasites as well.

Should I give my dog or cat flea and tick preventative?

We do recommend that clients keep their pets on flea/tick medication.
